The sickies hit our house this week.

Truth be told, they rarely leave during the months of November thru March.  A cough or sniffle is just white noise in our house this time of year.  That's the way it goes with big families, I suppose...
we can't help it, we just have to share.

March for Life 2015

So crowded.

So wonderful to see so many people, marching for the babies

friends and neighbors,

both young

and old.

All marching for life, and it is so beautiful.

So this is the new normal:  He pushes his stool, he climbs, he gets what he wants.  You would think I'd be used to this sort of thing by now, seeing as he's the youngest of eight, six of which are boys, but no, for the record, I am not.

Goodbyes are stinky, but can be made a little less so when your big brother agrees to sit aaaaawwwwllll the way in the back next to you for the ride to the airport.

She counted down the days until Christmas.

Over and over.

She sang this song:

"I can't wait 'till Christmas, Christmas, Christmas!
I can't wait 'till Christmas, all day long"

Every single day.

Then one day she asked me, "Mom, do you know why I can't wait until Christmas?"
"Why?" I asked, fully expecting to hear something about treats from St. Nicholas or presents or candy coated gingerbread houses, or something else five-ish.

"I can't wait until Christmas because that's when PJ comes home!!  Aaaand 'cause it's Jesus' birthday!!!  Christmas is gonna be so awesome!"

And it was, and it was still awesome after, because her oldest brother hero was home again.

We were blessed to spend NYE with good food, family and friends and made a lot of fun memories.  It was a great way to end one year and ring in a new one.

(Our friends daughter. She made it to midnight.... barely.)

Happy New Year 2015 everyone!
