Next to the gymnast, he's the most athletic one. For the past three years he's wanted to play baseball-- his "FAVORITE sport, Mom!". Unfortunately, the for the past three summers, the Air Force has seen fit to move us-- but not this summer...
So everyday, every. day. people, this is the face I see, with these intense little seven year old brown eyes, as he asks me repeatedly...
"I'm still playing baseball this summer, right Mom??"
"When does it start again?"
"How long will the season last?"
"I'll get a real team hat, aaand shirt?"
"How many games are there?"
"When does practice start?"
"I'm still playing baseball this summer, right Mom??"
Apparently, his personality hasn't fluctuated much...

This shot is taken from our dinner date one week ago...
As you can see, he's WORKING--at his birthday dinner for two ~~ away from the kids, just us, not even with a baby in tow...(which is RARE, people!)... but still WORKING.
It's not what either of us had in mind, so thank you snow storm number four! (or is it five??) This is what happens when an Air Force base will likely be impacted due to weather--still gotta fly, right? So here you're seeing one of the men behind the curtain working to make sure things go smoothly as mother nature throws us one last (please, let this be the last one...) snow par-tay.
{eta: Again....I cannot wait until Mustache March is over... the 'three-haired mole' look is getting old. I'm ready to see a clean upper lip again, although that's the most brown hair I've seen on his head in quite some time....snort!}

"Try this......take a breath~
Isn't that amazing?!?
It's called breathing.
You're going to do a lot of it,
but nobody knows exactly how much... so enjoy it!
Pay attention~
Take brain pictures...
Amazing things will happen everyday."
Thanks Kid President!

Last birthday of the month....the ol' man.
It took not one, not two, but THREE people to light all the candles on the cake. I even ran out of individual candles (only had 36) and put a '7' candle and a '3' candle to represent the TEN more needed.(7+3, clever, no?)
scary, ain't it?
notice the fire extinguisher.. nice touch, children...
{eta: I cannot WAIT until 'Mustache March' is over. }
