Blast from the past

Trying something new here, inspired by Renee. I've always loved seeing mosaics, but never new quite how to pull one together. (yes, I realize I'm behind the times. what else is new)

These photos were taken a few years back when we only had four monkeys, but they are still some of my favorites.

Today Six got his first evah summer haircut. I did my first evah iMac slideshow and thought I'd share it here. Let me know what you think, and oh, by the way, pay no mind to the heart wrenching expressions on Six's face. It's all a put on... he's been watching the Charlie video waaay too much lately. (btw: resolution is a bit too low because I had trouble loading a bigger file... bummer..)

Surf's UP!! (summer photo challenge -day 1)

And boy, was it ever! I've never seen anything like it. Rip tides were pretty strong, unbeknownst to me until I saw the lifeguards helping out my boys, not once, not twice but THREE times. Then at one point, all dozen or so of the beach patrol lifeguards headed into the surf and did a massive retrieve of all swimmers. After that, no one was allowed to go in past their ankles. I did however capture a few shots before the craziness ensued.

When he saw this picture, Two said that he actually didn't see the large part of the wave comin' up right behind him..

Until here...

Just about now, he started thinkin' "AAAAAHHHHH!" (direct quote, by the way.)

And..."Whoa!!!" (again, direct quote. That's me... I'm all about accuracy here, folks.)

No direct quotes for this one. Two just said he was focusing on not drowning at this point. Wait, is that a quote?--ah well, I guess it is. It's just not a 'direct quote'. Yep, I'm all about grammar too. (Did you hear that thud? That was my MIL hitting the floor after reading that statement. She reeeallly digs my grammer, oh, and my spelling too.)

In a matter of seconds....

Say, five... okay, maybe ten... tops, fifteen. I'm sure I wasn't checking email for longer than that-- really.

I stepped into the bathroom, only to discover this:

I follow the trail of lil' white prints that leads me to this:

What's good for the bottom MUST be good for the body, right???

I decided I needed reinforcements to help me cope with all the damage, so they came to my rescue. Whew...
