One of my favorite things about living on base is knowing that at 5pm, everyday, the Princess bursts outside (if she's not already there) to do this:
**For my non-military friends, the national anthem is played daily at this time to signal the end of the day, aka:Retreat.

that is the most beautiful picture, i could cry. as an American, living in Canada, married to a Canadian and the mom of Canadian kids...my heart is still true blue patriotic. :)
What a sweetie!
Our marina is just a tad too far to hear, but if we're at the gym or the club we can hear everything quite clearly.
